报告题目:
Chemical vapour deposited nanocrystalline diamond coated tools for turning and drilling operations
报告摘要:
CVD diamond coated tools were developed for applications as different as turning of cemented carbides and bone drilling. The diamond films were deposited by Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapour Deposition (MPCVD) and Hot Filament Chemical Vapour Deposition (HFCVD) with grain sizes variation. Silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramic cutting tools were chosen for the base material as they are chemical and thermal compatible, leading to high diamond film adhesion levels.
It was possible to drill with a CVD diamond Si3N4 coated tool with significantly lower forces, lower rise in temperature, lower spindle speeds and higher infeed rates, when compared to the commercial steel drill bits.
