The Graduate Academic Poster Presentation of MSE is scheduled in spring semester and fall semester every year. Masters (2.5 years) and doctoral students (3 years) must make poster presentation at least once during their study (required to be completed before June of the second year after enrollment, and the presentation performation would be an important considerationof the credits for personal study report. Poster presentations are frequently seen at international conferences as an efficient way for universities and research institutions to demontrate their quality of talent training. It is aimed to cultivate graduate students' capacity to conduct research and communicate on international academic stage.
MSE plans to hold the 2018 Autumn Poster Presentation on the afternoon of November 23, 2018. This presention in Autumn is held for bachlor-straight-to-doctorate students enrolled in 2015 & 2016 as well as other graduate students who would like to participate. Maters and doctors enrolled in 2017 are supposed to attend the poster presentation in Spring 2019. However, international students are welcome to join the academic feast, to communicate and draw inspiration from peers' research work.
The preliminary application procedures are as follows:
1. Students are required to download and fill in an application form. Send the application form to the staff member's mailbox clkxyjsh@126.com before October 30th. Please entitle the mail with: "Name + Student ID + Poster Application Form.”
2. The organizers will announce the final list of participators on November 2nd.
3. The poster should be designed by every participator (including electronic draft and poster for final presentation). Please make your own poster in accordance with the requirement, and send the electronic version of the wall newspaper to the staff member's mailbox clkxyjsh@126.com before November 20th. Please entitle the mail with: "Name + Student ID + Poster". Paper works must be submitted to Room 324 between 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on November 21. The student ID and name should be written on the cover the poster.
4. The presention will be scheduled on November 23 (Friday) at 13:30 p.m. During the exhibition, authors should be standing next to the poster in order to discuss with audience.
5. The final award will be given with the votes from audience. The first prize will receive 800 RMB prize.

2. Location: Hall on 2nd Floor, Cao Guangbiao Building, Yuquan Campus
The specific requirements for the production of posters are as follows
1. Poster size refers to the international standard (ISO216): 90cm width * 120cm length, the margins to the top and bottom of the layout are both 25mm.
2. The poster must include element of MSE logo (see attachment). The layout should be simple and clear.
3. Poster content is organized and logically rigorous, encouraging the use of 1-3 images and forms in poster design.
4. Poster to be illustrated and presented must contain full content, clear charts and concise language to summarize recent research findings, key insights and academic innovations.
5. The Poster is required to show the author's latest results. (Please contact the organizer separately for confidential topics)
6. Save the electronical version of the poster as jpg, tiff or bmp, and the file size should not exceed 10M.
7. Note: Please write the "author's name + student ID + supervisor's name" at the top of the Poster (in Chinese).
